This week we were approached by our friends at Office Furniture Online for a replacement projector lamp for thier Nobo projector.
These guys really know thier stuff an thier website is superb - great value and if you mention that you are an eProjectorlamps customer you are sure to get a little more discount!
Whist we're on it - if you are moving office or home and need a furniture mover then try Binnings - they recently did some bits and bobs for us and were superb.....
Anyway, back to us. To be honest, were struggling a bit with the fame of appearing in DGB Life for our little charity fund raising bash at the Dumfries Dragon Boat Festival - the total raised by our Sygen team was around £800 - which is truly excellent!
Whilst our ego's deflate, our shipments increase - its been really positve lately with loads of International shipments keeping us busy, something to do with the weak pound we suspect - every cloud and all.
Cloud however is something which has been a bit scarce this past week - so remeber as the sun shines and the temperatures peak, so does the heat in your home or office. Projectors like to be cool - and in hot weather its double important to make sure those filters are clean and the unit can "breathe". We like your business, but we'd rather like you to get good value from your lamps so be sure to see our page on how to get the most from your projector lamp.
Enjoy the summer......

Feed feed feed......
Our nocturnal programmers have been hard at work behind the eProjectorlamps scenes, (or should that be screens?) hiding from the light and getting the all important stock and product feeds working like they should. Our lamp stock and pricing information now seems to have settled itself into a clockwork like routine and everything is up to date.
After a grand weekend raising money for charity Dragon Boat Racing on the River Nith, the (slightly stiff) Sygen eProjectorlamps team are now doing their real jobs again - not dressed up as the Wat er Geeks now though..!
So whats going on then?
Well , our old favourite - the Toshiba WM4WM48 Television Lamp has been red hot this again week, we seem to sell more of these than anything else, there must be thousands of these TVs out there - either that or we have the best price on the web! And then somebody called to say they got our number off Samsung for themselves for lamp prices - that makes us happy! We've shifted a few JVC units and good old 3M has been holding its own too! It would seem there are still a few Seleco and Proxima projectors still hanging from the pub ceilings too.
Hey whilst we're at it, thanks to AV Forums and AV Review for linking to our site.....

A week of snaggings......
We're really keen to make v2 of our new lamp website work well for our customers so we have enlisted the help of friendly optimisation company Callisti to review the traffic, search terms, statistics and more importantly the errors on the site.
The good news is that there have been no page errors, however we have picked up on a couple of issues with PayPal and SagePay which have been repaired and are now full operational again. As always the shopping system on eProjectorlamps uses secure shopping systems and your payment details are never stored or passed unencrypted.
We have also discovered a few other things. There are loads of you guys out there looking for Viewsonic, Optoma and Canon lamps - so we're improving our stock and availability of these items. However some of the Philips and Nobo lamps are currently slow and we have huge stocks so we've had a price cut on these items.
Final site development is still in progress and we should have a few more products on shortly - bsure to look back soon......

eProjectorlamps v2 is now live!
After a great deal of development work, the new eProjectorlamps site is now live!
We hope our customers like the new look and more importantly the new features we have added as a result their feedback.
Our shop still lists over 7000 replacement lamp and bulb products with manufacturers like Sony, NEC, Acer, Epson, Sanyo, HP, Benq, Mitsubishi and Panasonic being the most popular.
Furthermore we have added a great new function which allows you to backorder your lamp if we don't have it in stock and to make our checkout process easier for the customer, PayPal is now offered as a payment option.
We're also really pleased to announce that our online Catalogue can now be used for the new eprocurement systems being introduced by government and the public sector across the UK. This is great news for any school, college or other education / public sector body who wishes to buy lamps from us as they can use our free 30 day credit account facilities. With this in mind we're keeping good stock levels of the smartboard lamps commonly used in schools, colleges and universities!
As always - there are some good tips and tricks for getting the best lamp life and reliability from your projector lamp in our lamp faq section and don't forget to contact us with your comments about the new site!

eProjectorlamps V2 nearing launch
Its been a long time coming but the new eProjectorlamps website is almost ready for launch.
With the new site we have decided to make things easier for our customers, so the nuts and bolts functions have been moved to the main home page. The navigation for the lamp catalogue is now performed by two simple drop down boxes, which we think makes finding your projector lamp a much easier and happier business.
The search function which, being very honest was poor on the original site has been vastly improved by the developers and now produces intuitive and accurate results. you can now efficiently search for lamp part numbers, SKU and model number, without the system returning 7000 results. We're pleased with it.
We have also rewritten the shopping cart system and PayPal has been added as a payment option for which to buy lamps.
As always we still publish lamp stock information on our site which is updated regularly and visitors to the site should see a marked improvement to our shippable stock thanks to some great new trading agreements we have been working on recently.
Watch this space.....launching soon!

Somebody forgot about the Blog!
Its more than 12 months since we last updated the Blog - which is pretty bad, we admit it.
The last year has been interesting for the lamps market. We have seen a few of the big boys hit the wall and been liquidated and even our own business has had a downturn in sales. Is it the much talked about "Credit Crunch" starting to bite? We don't think so - our view on this is that the cost of new projectors have tumbled so far, that when people need to replace their lamps they are just buying new machines.
Being in the business, it would seem that many of these impluse projector purchases are made in haste and possibly regretted later. People tend to buy machines of lower spec than their original unit and usually without investigating the lamp price.
So.
This is business after all, so there is no point in sitting looking at the whole market and shaking our heads - if you stop, you go backwards. We understand that the price of projector lamps, bulbs, lamp modules - or whatever you want to call them is pretty high so we went looking to see what we would do to make ourselves more competitive.
Our solution, we feel lies with our latest partnership with a supplier called "Diamond Lamps". Their website is www.diamondlamps.net
These new Diamond Lamps are a really good idea - but you cant get them for every projector. Not yet anyway. In laymans terms, there are normally 2 components to a projector lamp module: the Heat Resistant Plastic Cage and the Lamp Module itself.
When you buy a Diamond Lamp, you get the original lamp (not a copy, compatible or otherwise) - usually a Philips mounted in a Diamond Lamps plastic cage. The best bit is that you pay much less as it is not a OEM Branded unit - but is the correct lamp your projector was designed to use.
We hope these lower priced lamps will prove to be good sellers and give our customers what the are looking for. Cheap!
Check them out in our shop, which is here: www.eprojectorlamps.co.uk/store/
